Hard to be-

lieve it’s been

over ten years

now since I start-

ed Renegade Magazine,

and it’s been a rocky road

from the beginning to say the

least! Now I’m in the pro-

cess of changing up how I ap-

proach the magazine. I have

never been a businessman,

which is why I have not been

able to make a financial success

out of Renegade. I’m an artist

not a salesman! Ad accounts

are a magazine’s bread and but-

ter. I thought if I built it they would

come; but in todays America, tal-

ent is not valued as much as mar-

keting and sales gimmicks and all

that other SEO bullshit. I’m not trying

to be negative, that’s just they way it

is. So now I’m just going to give it

away! Give it away, give it away, give

it away now! I have decided to make

Renegade online absolutely free.

Let me clarify; I don’t do this because

I

want to get rich, although it might be a nice change of pace...

I do it because I love it! I love the bikes. I love the cars. I

love the people! So no matter how hard it’s been to keep

the faith; I am resolved to keep Renegade alive. I refuse to

give up!

The main reason I’m making this decision to make the digi-

tal version totally free is I want people to be able to enjoy

all the awesome custom bikes, rat rods, hot rods, pinup

girls, artists and all the other interesting characters that I

have come across in my travels. So I’m opening up the

Renegade archives to all so you can enjoy over ten years

of Kustom Kulture as seen through my lens. And maybe,

just maybe... Some of you will like what you see enough

to buy one of my special edition print copies that are

available for every issue I have done and help keep the

dream alive!

Doing away with membership fees and making Ren-

egade Magazine online free ought to increase traffic

on the site... If I get enough; surely I can pick up a

few advertisers and sponsors! Regardless, you just

can’t stop this Renegade! Now, I’m also the Art Direc-

tor for Outlaw Biker and Tabu Tattoo magazines, thus

giving me more opportunities to increase exposure of

my photography and graphic design while simultane-

ously earning a regular paycheck! So for this month

at least, I can eat something better than Ramen Noo-

dles AND continue on my travels! Life is good!

Kick it!
