Carrying on the tradition of speed... The Call Family

Distillers help sponsor the Worlds Fastest Rat Rod, built

by a fellow NC son and speed freak Aaron Brown. The

Car Shop is a secret garage hidden in the hills of North

Carolina, where Aaron builds some of the fastest cars

in the country, including his own project a ‘39 rat rod

that is built for speed. Make no mistake, there is noth-

ing “Ratty” about this car, other than the 1939 body the

rest of the car is a precision machine from the ground

up. He built this car the hard way; by hand, with skill,

experience and a passion for speed!

Just like Willie Clay, Aaron’s drive and determination

to build a rat rod that could break the 200mph barrier

comes from within. Aaron would be the first to tell you

it was a team effort... VETMotorsports has been em-

bedding injured veterans of war in various motorsports

teams since 2015. For the vets placed into Aaron’s team

it has had a very positive effect; giving them a mission

and sense of purpose. On their first record attempt to

break 200 at the Ohio Mile, they set seven world re-

cords in seven passes, with a top speed of 197.7mph.

Still, Aaron Brown was not satisfied… being the perfec-

tionist that he is, he took the car back to the shop and in

his spare time he and his team of vets did some tweak-

ing to the chassis getting her ready for this years Ohio

Mile for another attempt to break the 200mph barrier…

which they did at 200.4 MPH!

The front cab and bed of the truck are all original parts

Aaron picked up in Texas, almost 75% of the truck is

used NASCAR parts including a Roush Yates 358CI

engine, NASCAR cassis technology including the drive-

train, fuel cell, shocks, springs truck arms and a lot

more. It took Aaron about ten months to build the truck

from the ground up in his shop.

“The Uncatchable” is the ultimate street legal and speed

rat rod; pushing the envelope of what can be created

while paying tribute to the original hot rodders of the

Salt Flats that came before. No wonder the Call family

with their roots in running moonshine in fast cars would

choose to sponsor and put their name on this machine.
