Two wheels in excellent quality and 3D design.

Nevertheless daily business had to be continued

beside the project – the money to blow into the

build-off bike had to come in: He lifted the curtain

a little bit and soon found sponsors for the proj-

ect. NH-Power jumped onto the “crazy” idea im-

mediately and sponsored the complete primary

belt drive system, afterward modified by the team.

Dr. Jekill and Mr. Hyde added the mufflers to the

homemade pipes and – always in for extreme

ideas – Michael Naumann of “Naumann & Co.”

created the Air Ride system for the motorcycle –

both front and rear! VW Hamburg added some

cash into the travel budget and the Abu Dhabi trip

was financially secured. But the bike still had to be

built – and it would be a massive workload loom-

ing ahead. Rather than settling on established

and reliable technology, the team fabricated their

own swingarm and fork which was to inherit the

Nauman Airride. Additional task, the bike’s func-

tions were to be controlled by a touchpanel which

was to be integrated into the tank surface – that

brought another friend into the project to program

the electronic system that everything can be ac-

tivated by tapping the shops logo: Starter, Airride

and all lights were set up, wired and activated,

causing the system to blow up in a huge clowd

of smoke and the distinctive smell of burned elec-

tronic parts – bummer...

Time was running out quickly, so the “second gen-

eration” electronic control module entertained the

security check in the hand luggage en route to the

Middle East ¬– with nothing else but the faint hope

that it could be set to work as planned in Abu Dha-

bi. No “Plan B”, no back-up, no switches or relais

in the luggage – all or nothing, do or die...

The massive amount of metal work also took its

time: Flo and his team worked day and night, but

the days before the sheduled shipping of the com-

poments, all available hands were activated to see

the welding torches and screwdrivers flying!

His ordered “baking oven” for professional powder

coating did not show up in time, so they also had

to create their very own “powder-o-matic 2000”,

which formerly served for baking break and other

things, to get the job done. Heaven know’s where

he found the time for his girlfriend, but while the

project was going on he also found the time to get

another “job done” – and his business soon has to

serve 3 people of his own family.

Danny Schramm of Schrammwerk knows the drill

– he always is on the receiving end of mayhem,
