Renegade Issue 28

I got this bike as a basket case from Mississippi few years

back ago and took it down to the frame. Started off cut-

ting the neck and putting a rake on it, I wanted to build this

bike the old school chopper way. I was tired of seeing the

new ones so I wanted to build this how it’s supposed to be.

The motor is a original 49 and tore it down to rebuild the

flywheels and build it up from there the correct way. It has

new cams and 10:1 wisco pistons, it’s powered by the new

joe hunt magneto, the motor was all powder coated as well,

I had to rebuild the trans and have powder coated and put

in Andrew gears. I wanted this to be kick start only to have it

old school way,went with a bdl belt drive and suicide shift...I

went with a crazy color scheme to throw it off and wild so it

sticks out of the crowd...my painter is up here in Michigan,

his name is Jeff “wacko” Rush... he does all my painting on

bikes I work on. I have a small shop here in lower Michigan

called Hazardous Cycles..started about 5 years ago, I’m

the only one that does all the bikes. I graduated Wyotech 6

years ago and learned so much from those instructors.
